Guest SDMF
I got fetchmailconf when I installed from source, would the tarball have included the fetchmail-daemon stuff?
johnnyv
no idea you could have just urpmi fetchmail-daemon you probably still can, why did you install from tarball is there a new version?
Guest SDMF
There is a new version. I don't know a thing about urpmi. I tried installing the fetchmail-daemon rpm, and it told me that I needed the rc-scripts rpm. I downloaded that one, and tried to intall it, and it is telling me that there were all sorts of conflicts with a file called initscripts inside the rc-scripts rpm. johnnyv
huh! are you running mandrake 9.0 or something different? your sig says 9.0 there is nothing to urpmi you just open a console su to super user mode then urpmi theprogram it will tell you if there any dependencies and install them if yoj say yes you should be able to install the stock 9.0 version of fetchmail-daemon without any problems that way, maybe the install via src has caused a problem, but then i don't really know much about package management. oops late posting. good you got it going, actually it's good because i will be upgrading the mail server in a bit and it has refreshed my memory.
