Guest Bruce
What does "authorization failed, (computerxxx) authentication not supported"? I am trying to network three linux boxes together. I can see two of the three in lan browser, the third box is not listed. I have gone through NFS shares and NFS mounts points. But when I click on the NFS folder, I get that messag. What am I missing? Still very green around the edges on Linux!
Guest wintermute
I don't know if my little knowledge can help, but, first, what is the lan browser you use ? In order to make things clearer (and maybe find the root problem), you should only rely on command line interface and conf/script files. Did you set up your shares the right way using /etc/export, specify the machines authorized to connect to these shares, all that ? And did you have a look on your log files once nfs server started ? Once these are working fine and you know nfs is not a cause, you can focus on your graphical lan browser if the previous steps haven't solve the problem. Then, it may be a bug in your browser, or more probably a bad configuration that's not reflecting anywhere else, since it is a lan-browser-only bug.
