Guest IntegraR0064
Hey... Right now I'm dual booting mandrake 9 and windows xp. I'm using the LILO bootloader. I'd like to change it so that windows boots by default (after the time limit) instead of linux. How do I do this?
Guest SDMF
1. open /etc/lilo.conf (as root) 2. Change the line that says something like "default=linux" to "default=windows" (or whatever the label attribute for your windoze partition is, look down a few lines and you'll see it). 3. Save the file and exit. 4. Type lilo and hit enter. Then, when you reboot, it should boot into windoze by default.
ramfree17
4. Type lilo and hit enter. make that # lilo -v so you get a verbose display of whats happening (useful if you type something wrong). ciao!

I've never touched the lilo.conf since I default boot into linux, so that's never come up for me ;)

Counterspy
From the Boot config section of the Mandrake Control Center. You could have used it to change the default boot as well. Counterspy
