tech291083 Posted August 13, 2006 Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 i m trying to learn mandriva linux and also giving c (not c++ as i have just started out) programming a try. i m looking for some sample c code that i can try out. i have just come across this wrox site and have downloaded the sample code (in a zip format) contained in the book for practice. but i have treid to look online for some more sample c code that i can use for practice but i have not been able to find any. can any one please help me. thanks.. Or are you looking for something a bit more specific? edit: You might also find the Wikibook on C useful. theYinYeti Posted August 13, 2006 Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 My advice would be to learn C++ and best practices for C++ first. C++ is a clean language when used properly. However, mixing C and C++, which is possible for "backward compatibility" of some sort, can lead to disaster. C++ is not harder than C; it is a different (and better IMHO) mindset.
