doody
Dear usergroup, I have just reinstalled my Mandriva Discovery 2006 OS. Previously I have been able to play normal DVDs on my PC by downloading software from http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ In the past it has worked fine when I have used the http://easyurpmi.zarb.org site... I have changed the architecture to 'amd64' (my processor is AMD), then I would click the 'source plf_free' box, then I would copy and paste in a console and then configure my computer and install software, type 'css' etc. etc.. That worked fine. However, when I have visited http://easyurpmi.zarb.org this time, when it comes to the architecture part there is no 'amd64' to choose. I've tried using the other options but at the end of the process my DVDs will not play. What can I do? Any help appreciated!!! doody
arctic
Have you used the x86_64 packages? Those are the packages that are for the AMD64 processor. If the libdvdcss2 package for the 64 bit version doesn't work, then it might be a bug. (Just in case: If you have an AMD processor but not an AMD64, then use the i586 packages, not the x86_64 ones.) If you ask me, you can pretty well stick to the i586 packages. Less buggy, and no noticeable speed dropoff.
