ffi
Hi I just got a new phone, I can see 2 new devices in the devices tab in konquerer but it won´t mount automatically. Can I configure so it will be mounted automatically? I don´t want to edit fstab every time I plugin a new device.
tyme
what kind of phone is it...and if you click/double click on the devices in konqueror does it mount it?
ffi
A Sony Erickson w810i; I figured out how to mount it via mcc though I am still unable to copy files succesfully. Everything appears to copy but when I look in the phone nothing is there and when I remount the phone the files are not there either, weird.... edit, it does work in xp and here the relevant line from fstab: /dev/sdc1 /media/card vfat umask=0,user,noauto 0 0 Edited June 10, 2006 by ffi
ffi
Okay, set to synchronus i/o which solved copying. I still like to know if there´s some automagical way of inserting new devices without having to see either diskdrake or fstab?
tyme
I don't know about in KDE, I haven't used it in a while, but there's supposed to be a service to automount items - there should be options somewhere in KDE to do this. I know where they are in GNOME, but that's not of any help to you

tyme
XGL is all I use anymore. It's been very stable for me on Arch Linux. I know in GNOME (2.14) it's under Desktop -> Preferences -> Removable Drives and Media - perhaps it's under a similar heading in KDE.
