MottS
Is that when you right clic xmms and select Option->Always On Top or when you select Always On Top from the taskbar ? It works well with both methods for me.. MOttS
Guest boonders
hmmm...I'm running GNOME...does it work fine there?
MottS
I don't use Gnome but you should have those options. The first option is from XMMS itself. You right clic XMMS and select Option->Always On Top from the menu. The second option is from the taskbar (If I remember there is a taskbar in Gnome no?). You right clic the XMMS taskbar menu and select Always On Top. Those two methods works #1 for me in IceWM and KDE 3.1. MOttS
Guest boonders
GNOME taskbar doesn't have a stay on top option....at least not 2.2 Any other ideas?
MottS
Haha.. I knew Gnome sucks.. lol .. kidding here. Ok then if the 'stay on top' option within XMMS does not works and you don't have a 'stay on top' option on the Gnome taskbar, I suggest you the following options: 1) Try deleting the .xmms folder in your home directory and restart XMMS. Try the 'stay on top' option now and see if it works. 2) Try reinstalling XMMS from RPMDrake. 3) Try another desktop manager like IceWM. BTW, IceWM is installed by default on every MDK install so you don't have to install it if you want to try it out. 4) Switch to KDE ;-) Good luck buddy !
