USB Midi Interface problems

Studio to Go! demo recognized my Edirol UM-1X and I was able connect it via QJackctl to soft synths, and do pretty much everything.

Mandriva 2006 recognizes Edirol too, but it is not listed after typing "amidi -l" or doesn't show up in qjackctl connect list.

Tried to tweak the settings but I don't know what else to do.

/etc/modprobe.conf:

alias snd-0 snd-emu10k1
alias snd-2 snd-usb-audio

alias snd-1 snd-emu10k1
alias sound-slot-1 snd-emu10k1
alias sound-slot-2 snd-usb-audio
options snd-usb-audio index=2

options snd cards_limit=3
alias eth0 3c59x
