IMHO, just the following:

  • --> because it has all the users own stuff.

 

[*]/var/* --> because it stores all dynamic stuff (html pages, spools, mysql stuff...).

 

[*]/etc/* --> obviously because it has all the configuration files.

  • Another tree to save could be: "/usr/local".

 

The rest of the system can be easily restored doing a reinstall.
