Guest deepak
has anybody successfullty installed a HSP 56 Micromodem from PCTel Inc successfully ? I tried installing it but to no avail, i cofigured it as was written in the instal text but when i ran make i got an error stating that aclocal-1.6 was not installed in my system, i tried searching for it but it was not found, i run a MDK 8.2 box, but as far as i have found out aclocal-1.6 comes with automake-1.6 , but ithere are dependency problems with automake-1.6. iphitus
Ok. Everyone listen up. Theres a cool scriptcalled scanmodem which finds drivers and infor for whatever modem is installed. This is the first step to gettin one workin. http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz download that to your home directory gzip -d scanModem.gz chmod +x scanmodem ./scanmodem It will creae two files in your home directory. Please post their contents Edited February 27, 2004 by iphitus
