This installation was never fully started up so I was not able to add another user. Mandriva booted correctly and once I reached the black screen I typed: root and the password. Aother line appeared and I typed 'startx'. The screen changed. Half of the screen is now filled with an immage and some words that I connot decifer. Can you tell me how to change the drivers? tyme Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 before doing the startx, run XFdrake to set up the graphical server. you'll need to know what video card you have, and some of your monitor specifications, so that you can set it up properly.
