Set 32-bit environment for Wine, Cedega, Cxoffice

I have an AMD-64 3500 runnin Mandriva 2006 Free 64-bit

I am running the latest version of wine, cedega and cxoffice (I'm not running cxoffice 5.1, just 5.0)

I want to run my windows applications and install them in the D drive, which points to /Windows/D (which is a vfat mounted partition)

However only the latest version of wine 0.9.7 allows me to access my D Drive, but only if I go through the /root partition.

I would like to know if somebody can help me with this, somebody must have had the same problem already, all my applications run ok except these utilities based on wine.

The worst part is that both cxoffice and cedega fail to install anything on the D drive. I really need this in Cedega since I need to use the D drive in order to install the game over there.

Thanks in advance

You should not use wine/cedega/cxoffice over an existing windows partition, unless you don't mind screwing it beyond repair.

Create a fake drive at /home/xbaez/.wine instead.

vfat partitions do not support file ownership, symlinks/hardlinks, I/O permissions, so they are unsuitable for anything else than simple file storage.
