I want to configure a script to wait before exec

Recommended Posts

What I want to do is get the script to start, but wait for 30 seconds. Then after this 30 seconds, to resume. How would I be able to do this?

Eg (unfortunately not correct syntax, but you get the idea):

wait 30 seconds then

/etc/init.d/myservice start

The sleep command works a treat. Although I fine tuned it a bit more, so that I don't have to wait 30 seconds. I wasn't sure how long I needed.

Seems I only need around 5-10 seconds max.

Many thanks for that :D
