superyupkent
Hi all, I hope I post this in the right section.. anyway I have Mandrake 9 installed as my webserver, the problem is that my /var partition is to small to store all my pics. I tried to change my www virtual host to /home/alex.. didn't work out.. Now I read something about the use of Alias and Directory to expand my "webspace" to /home.. The only problem is that I can't get it to work. I chenged the httpdcommon.conf.. but after that I got forbidden errors on every link, I could see my index.html. I also tried to find info cencerning resizing /var, but I read that was rather dangerous. Hope I gave you guys enough info. Alex
ramfree17
just a guess as i dont have a linux system here to test on, try creating a directory in your /home and create a link in var to point into it. something like # ln -s /home/www /var/www or something like it. it might not work but its worth a shot. ciao!
