neocytrix
Hello everybody! I have been looking for ways to make an SSH server, but can't find much on the net. Does anyone know any good recources for learning SSH? Also, is there a way to make it so a user can only log in VIA SSH, a shell acount I believe this is? Anything helps! Grazie!! -Neocytrix
liquidzoo
Mandriva makes it really easy to set up an SSH server. You should be able to do it from the control center with no issues. From the command line, urpmi opensshd (I think), then service sshd start and you should be set. All users on your computer can now connect via ssh and use anything that they could normally use via command line.
tyme
You may also need to go into the control center, and find the services section and have ssh start on boot (if you want it to). Also, be sure you have strong passwords. Everytime I set up SSH I start getting hit by people trying to brute force their way in (guessing username/password combinations).
