devries
That error probably means that the module (driver) was build for a different kernel. make sure you install the correct rpm packages.
Guest abagatir
Thanks I build all files for this modem from "usbendpoint1.10.spec" file. With #rpmbuild -bi usbendpoint1.10.spec and #rpmbuild -ba usbendpoint1.10.spec If u want I can add spec file thanks
devries
Check if kernel and kernel-source match. Better post the output of the make command and not the spec file.
Guest abagatir
Check if kernel and kernel-source match. My notebook has mandriva 2006 and kernel is 2.6.12-12mdkcustom and kernel- source 2.6.12-12mdk. My desktop kernel is 2.6.8 and usb adsl modem is work on it. perhaps you know; Can I complied 2.6.8 kernel on mandriva 2006?What kind of problem can be? devries
Yes you can but I don´t think you have a problem with your kernel, only with the driver for the modem. If you download the kernel from kernel.org you miss all the mandriva patches.
