hi, I am with Mandrake 10,1, am very happy with the new features and functionality, but the question of the modem is a problem, I executed scanModem it and the information had been these:

josivan@localhost josivan] $ SU

bash: SU: command not found

[josivan@localhost josivan] $ SU

] bash: SU: command not found

[josivan@localhost josivan] $ su

Password:

3 [root@localhost josivan] # compact disc Desktop

[root@localhost Desktop] # cp scanModem /usr/bin

[root@localhost sudo Desktop] # scanModem

UPDATE=2006_Jan_11

ONLY uses scanModem downloaded: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz

/usr/bin/scanModem should ONLY be run within the Linux/UNIX partition.

If within the MicroSoft/DE partition, abort with Ctrl-C now!

CoPy scanModem.gz you your Linux partition and restart.

grep: /etc/apt/sources.list: In such file or directory
