neonsox
Hi, I have a buddy who's trying to get into Mandriva Linux and can't get his wireless card up and running. He's tried Ndiswrapper and various tools, but nothing seems to to work. There isn't an official driver he can use either (go figure). Here's what he has: Wireless card: Linksys wmp54g pci card Router: a Linksys one It's a Pentium-class system, 3 GHz. If he hard-wires the connection, there isn't a problem. Any suggestions? Ixthusdan
I googled and got lots of hits. This one looks very promising. It takes some fiddling, but it can be done. This site talks about the appropriate ndiswrapper driver. The trick is to use the correct driver. Ndiswrapper should work as well. I use ndiswrapper with my laptop. Fired right up. Linksys releases its code for gpl purposes, so I see no reason why it won't work.
