paulopen
Al of a sudden, my Synaptic worked (I don't know why), and I was so surprised that agreed to update everything. The problem is that the repository was configured for the Cooker distro. Do I have to reinstall 2006.0 from my CDs to get rid or Cooker? Thanks, Paulo
ianw1974
Cooker is what they classify as bleeding edge, the latest of the latest. In general, upgrades are easy, but downgrades from what I've read is virtually impossible without causing dependency nightmares. Your best bet, is to reinstall, but backup your data, or copy to another machine before rebuilding. Or, if this isn't possible, then see how cooker survives for you for the time being. If it's OK, and you don't have any problems, then wait for the new release of Mandriva, and then update to this. This would save the need to go back to 2006, as I mentioned, downgrades are a nightmare, if not impossible.
