scarecrow
Since I've encountered this thing at least twice in the past (always when dealing with Cooker), I don't know what to blame... besides the prebeta quality status of Mandriva 2006. After an install from the minimal ISO image, setting up the URPMI repos and: urpmi drakconf rpmdrake I then run the usual mcc ...and get the familiar, dreaded Couldn't recognize the image file format for file '/usr/share/icons/drakconf.png' at /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk2.pm line 272 Oh, by the way libpng3 is installed properly (?)... It's not only mcc: smart --gui (from Thac's repos) does not run either, for the same reason (when run from console it spits at some place error messages about unreadable .png files). Since I have already installed 2006.0 the same way a couple of days ago and it worked, I can guess that some update has screwed it bigtime- again. Any clue about this issue? PS: IceWM and Firefox (which to my poor knowledge do run png elements) run pretty OK. Edited November 17, 2005 by scarecrow
