mikecanada
I looked in Edit--> Preferences --->Advanced---->software update and click on check now so many times No Updates Found Firefox was not able to find any available updates. I`m using Mandriva Ltd. Edition 2005 comes with Kde 3.
daniewicz
Have you tried to update using Mandrake Control Center? Mandrake Control Center (MCC) look at available updates... This approach assumes that you have your sources set: MCC select where software sources are downloaded..... note: I am not sure how the new update feature within firefox interacts with the Mandriva updating tool in MCC. The above approach will be more fool-proof. further note: The new firefox 1.5 should be released by mozill.org within a week or two. scarecrow
1.0.7 RPM's for 2005LE available here As usual, add this place to your urpmi repositories (via "urpmi --addmedia blahblahblah"), update all repos and then do "urpmi mozilla-firefox" instead of downloading and trying to install from local files. And of course you can use the prebuilt binaries for 1.5 RC1, or follow the instructions on mozillazine.org and try building 1.5 RC1 yourself (it isn't very easy or fast, but it will be a very good Linux lesson).
