Whenever I do a search somewhere, they just say"search posts" for answer- I cant find the original answer!! How do I login as root and how do I get a console? Guest vmax Posted February 7, 2003 Report Share Posted February 7, 2003 Thanks Cannon and Lizard. Actually I'm not sure what boot loader is being used. I'm trying to help a friend and its been over 1 year since I had that problem with Mandrake 8.1. He can not seem to access a console or get a log-in prompt.. I'm currently running Man. 9 and RH 8.
