KDE Panel Problems [solved]

Right update, finally got on my machine to do this.

What I've done is this. I deleted all the . directories in my home area, eg: .kde, .gnome and so on, except .mozilla and .thunderbird. Rebooted, and all seems to be OK. The panels load perfectly.

The only problem I experience now is, that randomly, apps either open or they don't. For instance, I open Terminal (konsole) and it sits waiting for 30 seconds and doesn't open. Then I try again, and it opens. It's a little odd!
