linux_learner
i've been using smart for a while, and really enjoy it. i think it out performs urpmi and apt and yast. the main thing that needs work is the gui. i have written a howto for smart. it is SuSE centric, but the commands and howto should still work. http://wiki.suselinuxsupport.de/wikka.php?...tPackageManager
jlc
I've used it on Fedora, works fine, but I still like command line tools better :)

Smart is a command line tool, is it not? You don't have to run it in GUI mode! :) My opinion - barring little annoyances here and there, smart is what rpmdrake should have been. jlc
Yeah, i forgot it had a cli tool too, i was thinking of smart-gui I guess :)
scarecrow
IMO smart is MUCH better than urpmi under CLI, and just as good as synaptic when run as smart-gui.
