megiddo_99
Hello, basically, I want to know how I can access shared files/folders on my windows computers from my linux computer... is this possible? EDIT: Never mind, looks like smb4k takes care of this issue nicely [moved from Software by spinynorman]
scarecrow
Linux client: trivial. Just open Konqueror and type in "smb:/windowsmachine" or whatever the network name of the windows puter is. Samba should be installed, but it isn't necessary to run. For sharing files on your Linux puter, samba server should be installed AND running, and a usable smb.conf should be present. easiest ways to configure Samba is via webmin, or from kcontrol's network/samba module.
