doody
Dear user group Some DVDs don't play when I use Kaffeine. The beginning of the DVD starts fine, i.e. Universal.. 20th Century Fox etc. but then when I try to play the film an error message comes up about being unable to read data etc.. I think it's something to do with them being 'rental copies'. Other DVDs of mine are fine and play as normal. Is this a known problem and is it easy to fix it? I would appreciate any help. Many thanks doody
scarecrow
Most probably you need libdvdcss2 from PLF.
Aomighty
I had a friend who had that problem and libdvdcss fixed it. Go into a konsole and then type "su" to log in as root. Type "urpmi libdvdcss" without the quotes to install it. Once you're done, close the konsole window and it will log you out of root (good because being in root for too long is dangerous). If you need help setting up urpmi, go here.
