Ixthusdan
I really recommend installing 2006. It had no problem searching/installing pcmcia. It is also possible that you have a bad burn and that is interfering with the install. My laptop has a new video chip and I had to use ndiswrapper for my wireless. It all worked great. Try the burn thing. Would you give more details on your laptop?
willie
The cd are oke, i can install it on al my laptops ibm and toschiba. 2006 is still not for public download. Ixthusdan
Can you disable pcmcia in the bios? Frequently the installer has difficulties that a full Mandriva install does not have. You can enable pcmcia after installation.
