pavel Posted September 23, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) It is DSL modem connection(Lan not USB). I do have it for years and I never have a problem before. I do not have a problem with other Linux distr. or Win, just Mandrake. I just do not know what I am doing wrong. ianw1974 Posted September 23, 2005 Report Share Posted September 23, 2005 If you go into System/Configuration/Hardware/HardDrake, can you see the modem listed as one of the detected items? Also, in the screen of information when you select it towards the bottom it will mention what module has been loaded for the DSL modem. Then, to check, what you can do in a terminal window is: su (and supply root password when prompted) lsmod | grep module_name where module_name equals the module you made a note of that was listed as being loaded for the module.
