Guest fasq Posted September 8, 2005 Report Share Posted September 8, 2005 I have a SCSI Sony AIT3 100Gb tape drive connected to an Adaptec 29160 SCSI card. With Mandrake 9.2, I was able to write to the tape at a speed of 12Mb/sec. Without changing any hardware, I installed Mandrake 10.1 but now only get 7Mb/sec. If I remember right, I had to edit modules.conf file in 9.2. In 10.1, this has changed. I don't need to edit the file for the tape to work but I don't get the max speed of it.
