Guest skwerel Posted August 29, 2005 Report Share Posted August 29, 2005 (edited) I have tried many things but every time i boot into kde with a resolution higher than 800*600 or more than 8 bit color, all I get is a very garbled blue screen with a bit of black and white on it. Could someone give me a step-by-step on how to configure this correctly, starting at the install? The graphics display is an intel 82852/82855. I have tried many of the suggestions posted here but I can't seem to get any of them to work. Plz help!!! Edit: I can boot into kde using a low resolution to install packages etc using the lower resolution.
