:afro: Whats the basic command line to install ndiswrapper from the terminal window, please dont send me to another link, just type it here i beg you..lol

Check this link:

Scroll part way down to Installation, and it will list each item to go through to start installing and configuring ndiswrapper.

 

But in a nutshell, it starts:

 

make distclean

make

make install

 

then after that:

 

ndiswrapper -i name_of_driver_inf.inf (Windows XP driver for your wireless LAN card)

 

with a:

 

modprobe ndiswrapper

 

to load the module. Then:

 

ifconfig

 

and see if you have a WLAN0 to configure. The documentation for the link is best to follow and work through.

Brilliant im up and running..

 

 

just curious, but does that ndiswrapper work on other windows drivers...other than just networking cards? how about dvb cards?
