Kieth
I would like to watch soccer matches on the Internet, at http://www.rossoalice.it but I can only do it with Windows. Would someone go to the site and see if they can use it, and then give me advice on what I might be missing? It's an Italian site, so you need to go to the site listed above, then click on the Sport window, then on the picture on the left, saying Live (for sports), then on the top right where it says: "Fai il test al tuo PC prima di acquistare e guardare" (translation: Do the test on your PC before buying and watching). Thank you. Doing it this way, you do not have to buy anything to see if it is possible to use the service. daniewicz
Launch your browser from a terminal (command line). When you attempt the test any missing files should be listed in a terminal error message.

Kieth
Nope, it gives me the same answer: $ /usr/bin/mozilla-firefox ** (mozilla-firefox-bin:7683): WARNING **: Wrong permissions for /home/kieth/tmp/orbit-kieth $ Any other ideas? It would be kind of nice to watch those games on linux. Thanks.
Kieth
I tried it with konqueror, and was able to get some errors listed. They do not mean anything to me though. :woops: They do not look like they pertain to viewing the movie, but just about the screen size. Any ideas? $ konqueror konqueror: ERROR: Error in BrowserExtension::actionSlotMap(), unknown action : searchProvider konqueror: ERROR: Error in BrowserExtension::actionSlotMap(), unknown action : searchProvider X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800008 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800008 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800008 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800027 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800027 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800027 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002a X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002a X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002a X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002d X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002d X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380002d X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003c X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003c X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003c X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380003f X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800042 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800042 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800042 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800045 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800054 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800054 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800054 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800057 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800057 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x3800057 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 10 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380005a X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 7 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380005a X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 25 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x380005a $

I did a view source and the plugins used are macromedia and shockwave. While there is a macromedia plugin for linux there is none for shockwave. That might explain why you can watch the movies in Windows but not in linux.
Kieth
Thanks for the replies and help. Hopefully, in the not too distanct future, I can watch them on linux. Kieth
