Steve Scrimpshire
I have all the necessary plugins to support Flash/Shockwave for Netscape 7, but I can only get it to work by starting Netscape as root. What's up with that? If I look in Help>About Plugins as a regular user in Netscape, I see the plugin, but if I go to a page (as a regular user) that is pure Flash, it shows up as blank. I've tried chown on all the plugins, I've tried copying the plugins to my ~/.netscape/plugins directory but all to no avail. Sun Java works fine as regular user. Any ideas? Steve Scrimpshire
Something even funnier: It's not just root that can run Flash. I have another user on this system and that user can run Flash. Weird.
Steve Scrimpshire
False alarm. It musta been my Cache or something was corrupted. I renamed ~/.mozilla to ~/.mozillaBAK and then opened Netscape and it worked fine, so I copied my bookmarks.htm and my prefs.js back over there and all is well. Carry on.
