After installing madrake 10.1, i restart my computer and try to boot into madrake bt get the following message

Checking root filesystem

fsck.ext3 unable to resolve ' label=/ '

failed to check file system. do you want to repair?

i then answer yes and get the message

An error occured during file system check

The computer then reboots.

Can anyone help me?

I got that message with a bad burn or a bad download. If root, /, is corrupt after a first boot, you have serious problems. Make sure you have checked the md5sum of your iso's if you downloaded them yourself. If they check good, I would re-burn.
