Hello.

I'm new to linux, and I am trying to authenticate Mandriva 10.2 machines in a existing Windows 2003 Active Directory.

The idea is to try and convince my bosses and directors that linux is an alternative to Windows in various (if not all) our machines.

Reluctant as they are, first i need to implement the "workstations" in the domain as it is. The System Administration team say that they will "back me up" in any small changes that maybe needed to be done on the existing Windows Servers.

Here is where i need your help. I have already tried to configure the machine with drakauth, using the LDAP string they provided ( cn=users,dc=subdomain,dc=domain,dc=pt ). This didn't work. Then trying with the "windows domain" option in drakauth, it didn't work either.

Is there any tutorial, or can anyone help me by giving step-by-step instructions from start?

Thank you in advance.
