hans796
Hi I'm relative new to the Linux world and I'm running my PC with Mandriva 2005 LE. I think it works very well and thanks to forums like this one migration from Windows hasen't been so difficult. Now to my question. I have abouth 300 cd's with mp3 that I have downloaded and ripped. Now I want to build a database of all those. Any suggestions? Is there any simple database app around? I understood that most (all?) distros come with SQL. I'm not used to that, but anyway, can I build my own database? Thanks in advance Not so very noobish greetz from rainy Sweden..
fissy
You can point muine at the directory containing all your albums and it will add them into its own music database: http://muine.gooeylinux.org Same goes for rhythmbox: http://www.gnome.org/projects/rhythmbox/ Gnome catalogue can put most things into a nice database: http://gnomecatalog.sourceforge.net/
