Guest BlackMagix Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 ok i'm setting up the network and its dectecting the network card etc...... but now its asking me "what net driver, should I try ?" and gives me a huge ass list my Network card is not branded it just says Fast Ethernet Card 10/100Mbps edit. --------------------------------------------------------------- sorry on the driver disk it says: TAMARACK TC6020 10/100 FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER any help would be awsome Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SoulSe Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 You can try the following (my memory is a bit rusty, but it should be right): Either a Realtek adaptor or a NEC 2000 These are fairly generic, once again, hope I remember correctly. By the way: If it asks what to try, it probably can't detect your card. You will probably have to try to find a driver or buy another card (make sure it is Linux compatible first). tvlad Posted January 27, 2003 Report Share Posted January 27, 2003 Look at the nic's chip: If it says smth like BC 001 USA it's a myson card and the driver for it is fealnx, also if it says realtek, the driver should be compiled int the kernel.
