Mandriva Opens Wrong Drive

Now that I've got Mandriva up and running, I'm trying to install peripherals such as printers and scanners. When I try, I'm asked to insert the Installation DVD and a drive opens. However, it's the wrong drive. It opens the CD-RW drive and it won't read the DVD. :furious3:

Any suggestions on how to get around this problem? :help:

:thanks:

in the mandriva control center, go to the software section, there you will find your listed repositories. change the drive selection there or, even more easy, disable the dvd and use the web-mirrors for adding the latest versions of software to your system.

you can download the whole stuff with easyurpmi which is quite selfexplanatory. once you have set up your mirrors, download the packages from the web, either using the mcc or from a terminal, using the command "urpmi <packagename>".
