Guest wawalker
I am using an old [circa 1998] IBM Aptiva as a test machine for Mandrake. The machine had a 3.6 GB hard drive and I recently added a 2nd drive [3 GB]. What would be the 'ideal' way to set this machine up so that 1 drive contains root, and the other my /home directory. Which one would have the swap area on it?
Ixthusdan
I would put it with /home. That way, if you actually use swap, both drives will be going at the same time; no wait for swap space, since data is loading from the / partition.
