Guest uuric03
I have just created a CD of Mandriva Linux LE 2005 x64 Edition and wish to install it on my AMD64 Computer, because it is only 1 CD compared to the normal versions with 3 CDs or 1 DVD, I am a little skeptical of what this disk contains. Could someone enlighten me on the contents of this disk and what I need to do to get the x64 Version of Mandriva to be installed on my computer? Thank You. devries
Just put the disk in your cdrom player and browse it. Then you can see for yourself :) (more software can be found in the repositories. read the faqs for urpmi)
Phantom
I have tried it twice and went back twice to the 32bit edition. 64bit is still in an early stage, you'll find many applications that you'll need to tweak to get them to work. if you have the time and the courage then go for it, if you need something stable then stay with 32bit. As for the content, they did not include it all in the download cd, you'll need to install it from the UPRMI sources.
