josk
Here is short instructions to VDR @ Mandriva: » Install VDR The Video Disk Recorder is a Linux program from Klaus Schmidinger. It is used to receive digital TV and radio programs with a Personal Computer. If you wish you can record and play back those recordings at will. Its features include time-shifting and on-disk editing of the recordings. Like any other hi-fi equipment, VDR can be controlled through remote controls. The user interface is a menu displayed on the television (On Screen Display). The software is released under the GPL. Everybody can download and use the source code freely. Also there exist many extensions in the form of Plugins and Patches, e.g. a DVD player or a MP3 player. Two pictures is worth a 2000 words so here is two screenshots from my TV screen.
