Guest baxterdmutt
I am fairly new to linux, so please be gentle. I searched this board but could not seem to find anything specific to my problem. I love the Mandrake linux install on my Asus A2500H notebook (Redhat was a total failure). Everything seems to work great except for sound after hibernating. All else comes back, Video, USB, Pcmcia network card. But I can't get sound. The sound does work fine prior to hibernating. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
devries
Try restarting the alsa service (open a console, log in as root and type: service alsa restart (other commands are start, stop and status). Or open the Mandrake Control Center, system, service, alsa)

No change.
