klemm Posted April 17, 2005 Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 Hello H just bought my new box and have problem with onboard sound I do have the sound output from my computer, but it does not accept the inputs Line-In and Mic. They are dead silent. Did run the alsaconfig just in any case but no luck. Any hint where to troubleshoot it ? adamw Posted April 17, 2005 Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 mixers tend to be irritating. You need to select the line-in as the 'capture' source - i.e., tell the soundcard that when it's recording, it should record from the line-in. I find aumix the easiest mixer to use for this job, it's got a bunch of green lights down the side. When you click one it turns red and that means it's been picked as the input source.
