checking iso downloaded files, how? [solved]

You'll probably want to read this FAQ regarding md5sums. It has instructions for both Linux and Windows, where ever you'll be checking the ISO's from. As far as burning, any burning software should work. Just look for a "burn image" or "burn ISO" option.

I just finished downing loading the iso image files for 10.1.  How do I check the files to see if they are OK, before I burn them?  Also, is there any special thing I have to do to burn them?

Thanks,

Kieth

MagicISO is recommended to check and burn iso image. It is a good ISO burner.

For a java alternative (without exe's!) you can download the source of duplifinder from SourceForge and compile the Md5 class from there (taken from the JigSaw project). With this java class you can check the sums on a variety of platforms.
