djc_slip Posted April 16, 2005 Report Share Posted April 16, 2005 (edited) Hey all. Just installed LE2005 (from 10.2 rc2) and all seemed ok. When machine boots it occasionally goes straight to black screen and login - but no x! So - i login as root, init3 then init 5 and all is ok. reboot - all fine for a few reboots, then it happens again!! i have attached the output of var/log/messages for 1 boot. thanks! <edit> normally when someone posts, you get a reply quite quickly. I guess this was a problem many haven't seen before!! So - i bit the bullet - reinstalled mandrake - and all ok!.
