Guest jm_araujo
Hello, I’ve recently installed Mandrake 10.1 on my Laptop. Everything went fine except with my soundcard (Sis7012 PCI Audio Accelerator), which doesn’t work. Since this is my first experience with linux, I’ve no clue of how to solve this problem. I read that this version of mandrake as support for this soundcard, so I tried to open Kmix and aumix to be sure that the sound wasn’t on mute, and both didn’t open. Can anyone please help me….I’m getting desperate.
adamw
Try running 'alsaconf' as root from a console, and follow the instructions.
Guest jm_araujo
First of all, thank you for the tip. I tried running "alsaconf" and the final configuration was the same i had and still no sound. So i configured the soundcard with a different driver "i810audio" and it worked. Problem solved
