Guest frankybob
Hey, when I try to install 10.1, everything runs fine until it comes up to the checking PCMCIA step. When it gets there the installer just freezes. I've tried text mode because my computer isnt that great as well as removing the Xircom network card, neither work. The computer is a Toshiba 2510. Thanks. Edited April 10, 2005 by frankybob
devries
Try installing wirh acpi=off (at the bootflash hit F1, and type linux acpi=off)
Guest frankybob
Hmm, that didn't work :( When it freezes in PCMCIA detection it has 'Hard drive detection' at the top right. Considering i flopped a 20gb from a vaio in there would that make any difference?
