With WinXP and Win2000 you have to create a bill before for each machine, with the commands: adduser name_of_the_machine$ smbpasswd -a -m name_of_the_machine To add the computer in the domain, when asking login and password uses the login and the password of the root (he/she has to create this user before in the SAMBA).
