Guest KOTLP
<noob> I mounted a second hard drive that contains one fat32 partition. I would like to share this drive with windows boxes on my LAN. Initially, I mounted it as /mp3s/, but then I could only access it as root, and it would not allow me to change the ownership or permissions (why?). So, I mounted it as /home/[user]/mp3s/. Now I can access it as [user]. But, I cannot share it. When I try, it never takes, and shows up as not shared when I check it again. I CAN share any other directories in [user] fine, just not the mounted hdd. What am I missing? Thanks! </noob>
Guest KOTLP
Solved. I had to add it by editing /etc/samba/smb.conf.
