remarque
Ok so i have this kind of question: Is there any program in for KDE that would be able to change the fans' speeds. there are some similirar programs under WIN XP which enables you to read the sensors and even change the fan speeds manually. they're more or less universal for all types of motherboards. thank's in advance, and best regards
devries
There is lm-sensors (urpmi lm-sensors). After you installed it, open a console, log in as root and type sensors-detect. Answer all the questions and reboot (not really neccesary if you know how to use modprobe. If you don't just reboot). Install a program like ksensors (urpmi ksensors) to see the information. Fan speeds can be controlled in the kde control center, energymanagement I think. Good luck.
